Every Christmas a team of volunteers from Add People get into the festive spirit with a trip to The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) in Cheshire to help out at the kids’ Christmas party.
The day out is always a welcome break from the office and a highlight of the festive season. Our eager team even get to don some very fetching festive costumes for the occasion…
Every year we’re in awe of the hard work that the team at CAFT put into making the occasion even more memorable than the last for the kids.
Some of the children at CAFT have disabilities whilst others come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Whatever their circumstances are CAFT give them the opportunity to play, laugh and create memories that are sure to stay with them for years to come.
By Christmas time this year CAFT will have hosted 22 Christmas parties for up to 300 children, wow! If the staff aren’t in the Christmas spirit after that lot then there’s no hope for them!
This year’s Christmas party bonanza included:
- A Christmas dinner for each child
- A visit from Father Christmas (comedian Justin Moorhouse!)
- A Frozen themed grotto
- Presents specially selected for each child
- A bouncy castle and arts room
- Dinky donkeys and Reindeer
As well as hosting Christmas parties on their own premises CAFT are taking the party to Alder Hay Children’s Hospital this year! They have arranged for Santa and his elves to pay the kids in the hospital a visit and give out gifts.
We hope the children enjoyed our visit as much as we did; the costumes seemed to go down a treat, particularly the Christmas tree!
Merry Christmas and happy new year to everyone at CAFT from all the staff at Add People.
