Google have made some significant modifications to how users build and manage their Adwords campaigns. These new campaigns are called “Enhanced Campaigns” and represent, what some advertisers are calling, the biggest change to paid search since the internet began!
Enhanced Campaigns are Google’s response to the rapid growth in mobile browsing and they have been designed to “reach people with the right ads, based on their context, like location, time of day and device type, across all devices without having to set up and manage several separate campaigns.” The main aim of these changes is to make mobile Pay-Per-Click marketing more accessible and easier to manage for Adwords users.
Enhanced campaigns are now compulsory and since the 22nd July, all campaigns have been automatically migrated. To help with the switchover and to increase migration before the deadline, Google set Add People a challenge! Our Google accredited experts had to switch over as many campaigns as possible before the deadline. To motivate the account managers, Google offered rewards such a Google goodies, hoodies and to one lucky winner, a nexus tablet.
Add People were delighted to take part, especially Nick who walked away with the main prize, and to work alongside Google to align our goals as a digital marketing agency with the latest Google developments.
