Halloween comes but once a year, and here at Add People we decided to go all in this time around…

With all takings going to the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust, the local charity which Add People regularly supports, a full schedule of games and competitions took place over Friday the 28th and Monday 31st which got the whole office involved.

Halloween fun began earlier on in the week with teams getting going with their desk decorations, and by all accounts there was impressive level of effort all round. From an elaborate murder mystery theme, to a full on Halloween grotto, the tech floor did not hold back.

Upstairs, the PPC, MPPC, SEO and customer service teams were not to be outdone, and ended up winning the prize for their attention to detail with their spooktacular display.

The Friday saw the office turn into a bit of a rocky horror show, with Edward Scissorhands, Freddie Kreuger and men of the dia de los muertos stalking the halls. But the real stars of the show were JD and Turk, who showed up in full scrubs ‘straight out of surgery’ to the hilarity of the office…

‘It lives in a coffin and sucks blood… vampire!!’ Not quite as catchy as ‘two fat ladies’, but just as effective; a game of Halloween themed bingo had some of us at the edge of our seats, desperate to get the winning full ‘haunted’ house. With bonus ball and pumpkin seed jar guess games to enter, we really weren’t lacking in ways to get involved and do our bit for CAFT.

Pumpkin carving isn’t just for kids, apparently… Some of Add People’s creative minds set to work over the weekend to provide some impressive carved pumpkin creations, proving that you don’t have to leave your childhood behind for good.

Baking and decorating skills were called into action for the Halloween bake sale, with lots of the Add People team giving up some of their weekend to create some deliciously ghoulish treats to be sold in the office for charity. The spread of goodies produced managed to be both tempting and terrifying in equal measure, with a Frankenstein cake taking home the prize for best bake. Step aside Mary Berry…
