Terms & Conditions - New Websites & Hosting Service Terms

These are the individual Terms of our New Websites Service and our Hosting Service. These Terms will apply depending on the Service you have chosen, or if you have opted in for both Services, both sets of Terms apply.

New Websites

In the interest of a successful website build, we have outlined the responsibilities and requirements of our agreement below. These Service Terms are subject to the General Terms and each individual term applies unless agreed otherwise in your Contract.

Our service:

As your digital marketing partner, we will carry out our services with a reasonable standard of care. You will be assigned a Project Manager, who will guide you through the following stages of the New Website service:

  • Requirements: Your Project Manager will discuss the requirements for the design and functionality of your website with you. We will then plan your new website exactly to the specifications of your brief, where possible.
  • Design: We create mock-ups based on your brief to make sure you are happy with how it looks.
  • Development: Once you are happy with your design, our developers will begin to build your website on the agreed platform and integrate your chosen functionality and features.
  • Testing & Launch: We will send a live, development link to you in order to obtain your feedback before deploying your new website

Please note: Add People have no control over the website platforms used and thus cannot take responsibility for any detrimental effects from actions made by you or these platforms. Also, any requested additional work or support outside the Contract agreement will be subject to additional charges.

Your responsibilities:

In order for us to deliver our services effectively, there are a few specific requirements for you to consider. These requirements are your responsibility and they are essential to making sure that we can deliver our services properly:

    • Contact: We will need to have one point of contact who will take responsibility for signing off work at various project stages as well as collating and providing any information required.
    • Access: To facilitate the delivery of our services, you should provide the required access credentials including, but not limited to: website access details, domain control panel access and server access.
    • Content: You may need to provide content, including imagery, product information and copy. Any required content must be provided upon request. These materials must not infringe on any third party rights and must not be defamatory, derogatory or otherwise illegal.
    • Sign off: You will be given an opportunity to review your website’s design and another to review its build. You must provide complete and comprehensive feedback at each stage within 5 working days and ensure that payments are made for completed stages in order for the next stage to commence.

Please note: any failures to meet these requirements will result in delays in the production of your new website and may also result in additional charges.

Complaints:

Our complaints procedure is designed to quickly resolve any client concerns. Email feedback@addpeople.co.uk or your Account Manager with your specific complaint and relevant information to back it up. If your complaint is not resolved immediately, it will then be escalated to a senior member of staff.

Cancellations:

You are responsible for paying the agreed costs within the Contract. These costs are non-refundable and split into three independent stages. These stages include setup, design and development. Therefore, if you wish to cancel your contract, you may be required to pay out your outstanding payments in full.

Hosting

So that we can effectively provide hosting for you, we have outlined the responsibilities and requirements of our agreement below. These Service Terms are subject to the General Terms and each individual term applies unless agreed otherwise in your Contract.

Our service:

As your digital marketing partner, we will carry out our services with a reasonable standard of care. You will be assigned a Project Manager, who will guide you through the following stages of the Hosting Service:

  • Requirements: We will contact you to understand your hosting requirements. Here we will gather all of the information required and recommend a hosting package based on your needs.
  • Setup: Once you are happy with the recommended hosting package, we will take care of setting up your hosting on a third-party platform by creating your hosting environment as well as migrating and deploying your data files.
  • Assessment: When we have set up hosting, we will assess the performance and security of your website.

Please note: Add People cannot take responsibility for any detrimental effects or losses as a result of this service or any actions made by you or the platform provider. Also, any requested additional work that is outside the Contract agreement will be subject to additional charges.

Your responsibilities:

In order for us to deliver our services effectively, there are a few specific requirements for you to consider. These requirements are your responsibility and they are essential to making sure that we can deliver our services properly:

  • Contact: We will need to have one point of contact who will be able to provide relevant access details and technical information.
  • Access: To facilitate the delivery of our services, you should provide the required access credentials including, but not limited to: website access details, domain control panel access and server access.
  • Compliance: As part of this agreement, you must comply with the Terms of the hosting platform, OVH, which can be found here: https://www.ovh.co.uk/support/termsofservice/.

Please note: any failures to meet these requirements may result in additional charges and delays in the delivery of this service.

Complaints:

We have a thorough complaints procedure designed to quickly resolve any client concerns, beginning with your Project Manager being informed of your complaint with specific information to back it up. If your complaint is not resolved immediately, it will then be escalated to a senior member of staff.

If your complaint is regarding your Project Manager and thus you do not wish to log the complaint with them, please email info@addpeople.co.uk, where an independent member of staff will investigate your complaint.

Cancellations:

The terms of cancelling your contract depend on whether you are outside of or within your agreed minimum contract term:

  • Outside minimum term: Payments are taken in advance of work being carried out. e.g. If your next payment date is the 22nd January, you are paying for the rest of January and 22 days of February. So, if you want to cancel after your minimum contract term you are required to give notice of 1 complete billing month, unless your contract states otherwise. With the above example then, if you cancel on the 18th January the final payment will be the 22nd January. But if you cancel on the 24th January, your final payment will be on the 22nd February. Final payment will be for the full monthly amount and not a pro rata payment and therefore services will continue for a full month from this payment.
  • Within minimum term: You are required to make monthly payments for the remainder of your minimum term as outlined in your contract. Therefore, if you are within your contract and wish to cancel, you will be required to pay out your outstanding payments in full.

Please Note: You may incur an additional admin fee of £300+VAT for transferring your website files to another hosting platform.

These terms take a client-centric approach to ensure that both parties are protected in a strong and transparent partnership.
