How OEM Auto Space Achieved 330% Revenue Growth with Google Ads
This used auto parts business based in Pennsylvania saw game-changing growth in just three months with our Google Ads experts.
OEM Auto Space, based in Pennsylvania, USA, is a leading eCommerce business specializing in high-quality used OEM auto parts.
While OEM Auto Space had successfully grown its presence on eBay, relying on third-party marketplaces came with high selling fees and limited brand control. To scale website sales and drive more profitable growth, a more efficient strategy was needed.
After attempting Google Ads but finding the approach inefficient and costly, they turned to Add People for expert support.
The Challenge
Before working with us, OEM Auto Space had experimented with Google Ads and while they were seeing some return, they were struggling to get enough needed to run the campaigns profitably.
One of the key issues was their high average cost per acquisition (CPA) of $105.
Another major challenge was low ad visibility, with their ads appearing less than 10% of the time, meaning they were missing out on a significant proportion of potential customers.
Recognising the opportunity for growth, OEM Auto Space partnered with Add People to refine their strategy, implement key improvements, and maximise performance.
Our Strategy
Chloe Torley, Ecommerce Account Manager and Google Ads extraordinaire, led the campaign with a clear focus on restructuring OEM Auto Space’s Google Ads strategy for maximum efficiency and profitability.
From the outset, Chloe completely restructured OEM Auto Space’s Google Ads strategy.
Here’s how she did it:
Chloe identified that they had only used Shopping campaigns before, so she introduced a mix of Performance Max (PMax), Search, and Shopping campaigns to diversify visibility and increase conversion opportunities.
Initially, climate control products were dominating the budget, limiting exposure for radios, screens, and airbags. To combat this, Chloe split campaigns by product category, ensuring a fairer budget distribution and better visibility across the full inventory.
Chloe moved away from a rigid target ROAS strategy, taking a more dynamic approach to reallocating budget to top-performing products and adjusting bids based on live performance data.
The Results
Chloe managed to achieve standout improvements in just three months.
- Revenue increased by 330%, allowing them to reinvest in more stock and long-term growth strategies.
- Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) skyrocketed by 436%, turning their ad campaigns into a profitable, scalable channel.
- Ad spend reduced by 16%, proving that more efficient campaigns could drive higher results with lower investment.
These improvements meant that OEM Auto Space was no longer reliant on eBay sales and could focus on scaling their direct website sales profitably.
Looking Ahead
With this success, OEM Auto Space is now scaling even further. Plans include:
- Splitting campaigns further: As we’ve seen certain car makes perform better, we will create dedicated campaigns to maximise visibility for these brands.
- Expanding into video and email marketing: OEM Autospace has now signed on for a Diamond Level package, including video content creation, email automation, and campaign expansion.
- Exploring SEO & Marketplaces: With growing success in Google Ads, we plan to introduce organic search strategies and expand onto additional marketplaces.
OEM Auto Space’s journey is proof that smart advertising strategies drive scalable eCommerce growth.
With Add People’s expertise, they’ve turned their ad spend from a costly burden into a profitable engine for expansion.
